Wake the neighbors and phone kids the waiting is almost over. EMU’s Free performance of “Waiting For Godot” opens tomorrow night (May 18th) at 6:00pm at the Haskell University powwow space. The show will go on rain or shine. If you can’t make it Friday, there will be additional shows on May 19th, May 25th and May 26th at the same time.

The show will be free of charge, and those in attendance are encouraged to bring picnic meals if desired.
EMU Theatre proudly announces “Waiting for Samuel Beckett's Copyright to Expire”, a benefit show to help raise funds for its upcoming free, outdoor production of Samuel Beckett's modern classic, “Waiting for Godot.” This variety event will be held on Sunday April 29 from 4P.M. until 8 P.M. at the Replay Lounge in Lawrence, Kansas. In addition to encore performances of three of EMU's 10-minute plays from its most recent production, “Paint Your Dragon,” this event will include music, comedic, and other performances as well as a silent art auction, all of which feature local artists
EMU is scheduled to produce an enhanced stage reading -- on-book with blocking and minimal set design -- of the play A Candle For Freddy by D.A. Baranski. Dan Born will serve as producer and Baranski will direct. The work is scheduled for public performance on Sunday, June 10th at the Lawrence Public Library. Interested actors should respond by April 22. A script will be emailed to all actors interested in a role; casting and rehearsal information will follow. EMU Theatre proudly announces the opening of Paint Your Dragon, our 15th anniversary 10-minute play festival. The show opens Friday, March 30th at the Lawrence Arts Center, (940 New Hampshire St., Lawrence, Kansas), with additional shows on Saturday March 31st, Friday April 6th and closing on Saturday April 7th. All shows will begin at 7:30 pm with doors opening at 7:00 pm.
