Well, I was going to try and be all cool and show off my mad HTML skills, but I can't lie. I have been woefully neglectful in my studies. I'm sure there's an easy way to insert a link, but I'll just give out the information I have, as is.
There is a group in KC doing staged readings of your favorite cult movies and mine. Think of it as "Prairie Home Companion" meets, drive-in theater meets, comic book/sci-fi/gaming convention (I think you know what kind of gaming I'm talking about ;)
Anyway, their latest production of This is Not Spinal Tap starts this weekend:
I really have no...wait a minute, I take that back...I have several excuses for not posting anything last week. I will spare you the goriest of details, suffice to say, auditions were last week, and finish up tonight. I don't know about you all (should that be "y'all"?) but I am excited to hear/read the cast list. IMHO, things went very well, especially when one considers that no one showed up at the first audition time (except for the directors, let's give them all a hand). Nevertheless, by all accounts relayed to me (and my own personal observation) there were some very strong readings.
(Hopefully that title gets people's attention.)
As one of the newer members of EMU theater, I thought I'd offer some insight as to what made me decide to join. In a nutshell, I've known Andy for over 15 years (believe it or not). Not that I've known him well, mind you. Nevertheless, it should be noted that Andy has been around for some very significant moments in my life.
Hello kiddies, I'm back...not that I possess any form of articulate, or coherent communication at this time.
Perhaps, under the influence of the recent full moon (and other cosmic goings-on) I am merely experiencing a temporary form of lunacy, or perhaps this HTML stuff has addled me ole noggin.
In any case, we (Jerry, Jack, and myself) as devoted members of EMU's web design/ PR committees have been working diligently to provide you with the most up-to-date, state-of-the-art, cutting-edge, high-fidelity, low-impact, fat-free...what was I going on about?
At the suggestion of our web guru, I have decided to try and maintain a blog. Um...nobody ever really read my Myspace blog (fascinating as it was) so I think I'll do something a little more useful.
I know next to nothing about HTML/web design. I'm here more for my artistic flare (not to mention my witty banter). Thus, it follows suit that I must learn how to make things look cool on the web.
So, join me dear readers as I bravely venture forth into the world of web design.
SEE my typing skills improve ten-fold!
