Hey guys,
I know we can all get bogged down with all of the work involved in putting up a production but lets remember to keep all of the positive vibes about our awsome theatre company. It is easy to dwell on the negative things associated with putting on a show like: not having a life, working with people we don't like, production details, delays, etc. but the positive aspects of our company far outweigh the negative ones.
We have been able to sustain an arts organization for over ten years with the only revenue coming from ticket sales, concession sales, and sponsorships. We have never recieved a grant although we have tried numerous times. This is truly remarkable in the arts community and is somthing we can all be proud of. The fact that we are still around and making steps to ensure our sustainability is a testament to the work done by our members. Keep it up guys!
Remember when you are stressed out about a show or the work you have to do just remember that you are part of a truly remarkable arts organization. While it is easy to point out the negative aspects of E.M.U. the positive things are what sets us apart so keep that in mind when you are telling people about our group. We need more help from our artistic community and if we all talk about our company in a positive light recruiting will never be a problem. We are only as good as the work we do and if we keep up the good work the world will notice.
Thank you for all of the work you have all put out during the years. Let's all keep it up and make this a better theatre company!
